Tank Mounting Question30 Jun 2006 18:26 GMT9
A morning drink for the house, even though it is early.  I am at the
point in my build where I am mounting the gas tank.  The tank came with
two weld on mounting brackets, rubber bushings for the brackets, nuts,
washers, and metal bushing sleeves.  I have two questions regarding the
What is the correct way to measure float height on a CB450?30 Jun 2006 11:50 GMT16
I followed the directions given in the Intertec manual which were to
bend the tang until 20mm was measured from the gasket surface to the
bottom of the float (with the needle valve closed) but I obviously
misunderstood the directions because after I got done doing that then
Carb / idle problem on a Honda CB35029 Jun 2006 20:41 GMT3
I have a '72 Honda CB 350 twin. It sat for 10 years before I bought it
so the tank was quite rusted and gumming things up. I cleaned and
coated the tank, replaced the fuel lines, and rebuilt the carbs. It
runs now but the idle sometimes fluctuates and the right cylinder is
Xr100 won't start conundrum29 Jun 2006 20:08 GMT4
So my son has a 98 honda Xr100, and I can't get it to start. Probably
the most popular honda ever made.
It was running O.K. then suddenly nothing.
Here are the details:
1969 Honda CL350 Doesn't Go Above 40mph28 Jun 2006 08:31 GMT29
My brother-in-law recently acquired said bike.
It wasn't running when we got it, so we cleaned up the carbs, changed
the plugs, redid the exhaust gaskets, and touched up other
miscellaneous ends.
82' Honda CB750 Charging Woes28 Jun 2006 07:36 GMT9
Here's the story: picked up an 82' CB750, runs and drives fine... but
the battery doesn't charge. First thing I did was buy a clymer manual
and go through their troubleshooting procedure. Everything checked out
ok, including the voltage RR, but since that was the most complex
Bleeding Brakes | Glass Jar Method28 Jun 2006 07:22 GMT10
I've got a 1982 Yamaha Maxim XJ750J.
I bought it last year and got it running really well this spring.
The brakes have been real sluggish and m brake light finally came on.
I figured I needed to bleed the brakes and proceeded to do so.
Going Naked Suzuki Bandit 600S27 Jun 2006 21:24 GMT2

of the fairing but need a bracket for the gauges, any ideas??  I have a

[Help] rear hyd brake won't release27 Jun 2006 12:14 GMT5
I knew there was a problem when my Ultra Classic didn't seem to coast
very well; something seemed to be grabbing it. The rear brake pedal
action seemed wrong, too, as if the master cyl was already engaged.
So like an idiot I blistered my thumb testing whether the rear brake
tire wear 180 vs 190.27 Jun 2006 01:06 GMT2
    Now, I know it's a bad idea to squeeze a 190 or 200 tire on a rim
that was designed for a 160 or a 180. In my case I have been using a
180 on a 6" rim. Stock fitment calls for a  a 190. The 180 seems to
turn in easier, with no loss of traction at sane street speeds and they
Modifying carbs, will I need larger jets?27 Jun 2006 00:55 GMT3
Hey all --
I have a 1984 KZ700, 9000 miles. Right now it's pretty much all stock
except for a k&n filter in the airbox. I have a needle and jet kit that
I am planning to install along with k&n pod filters. My question is,
trouble starting when warm25 Jun 2006 18:54 GMT3
I recently bought a 86' ninja zx600.  When it is cold I can get it to
start with the electric ignition, but after it warms up it won't fire
over.  If I push it when it is warm and won't start electronicly, it
will fire right over.  any help? could this be a valve problem
How in the hell did they build them on the assembly line?25 Jun 2006 18:20 GMT10
 Back in April a bought a 1981  CB750C as a project bike - when I bought it
it was leaking oil badly  (per the seller it was just gushing out of the
head when the bike
was running, I never was able to get the bike started)  Seller had tried

What type of alloy would be best?  Any suggestions on where to find the
