Headlight Question30 Sep 2007 19:41 GMT8
I just purchased a 1987 Honda CMX250 Rebel for my Wife and it has an
incandesant style headlight bulb. I would like to update to an H-4 style
headlamp.
My question is:
Need source for aftermarket rear turn signals29 Sep 2007 23:37 GMT5
I'm restoring this old Yammy XS400RK. It runs damn near perfect and is
in good shape - 24K miles.
Anyway I need rear turn signals. All the web sites I've checked are a
PITA and so far all I can find are these really small Bikemaster ones
1973 Yamaha 500 DOHC?29 Sep 2007 16:16 GMT17
Anyone familiar with these? I just picked up a very clean and low
mileage one. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet. Trying to decide if
I want to keep it or try trading it for a pre-unit Triumph, or just
selling it outright.
Shift lever cover29 Sep 2007 02:07 GMT24
'87 CBR600
For years, the little 'rubber' cover on the shift lever has cheerfully,
cheerfully been depositing black gunk on my left shoe.
I tried wrapping the cover in good electrical tape. Didn't much work,
Bandit 1200 winterize ...27 Sep 2007 20:25 GMT7
Is there a discussion group for Bandits that would describe how to
winterize the Bandit?  In my case, it is a 2006 Bandit 1200.   It is about
due for it's first service at 5000km, so I will likely need to do an oil
change first since I intend to continue riding until the roads ...

Or, does anyone have one in html format that could email it to me?
Thanks.
question about CV carb setup25 Sep 2007 19:15 GMT14
Bike is a 1980 XS650.
Decided to check/adjust/synch the carbs this weekend.  The bike has been
running good, just decided to see if I could make it run even better and get

spongy (disc) brake24 Sep 2007 23:18 GMT37
Took my XS650 out for a ride this weekend, first time in a month or so.  The
front brake was soft... by that I mean that I had to pull the lever maybe
1-1/2"  before I felt resistance and I had to squeeze damn hard to get much
feel out of the brake.  Bad, I thought.  But after ...
Air Filter Foam21 Sep 2007 21:02 GMT1
Do any of you have an online source for sheets of 1/4" air filter
foam?  It's the type that has to be oil in order to properly filter
etc.  I have one that's begining to crumble into bits and can't find a
source for the OEM filter but I figure I can easily cut a new one out
Rubbing Sound - front wheel21 Sep 2007 13:54 GMT2
Hello...I'm getting a rubbing sound coming from the front wheel when I
walk my bike.  Each time my wheel makes a full rotation I hear the rub
sound. Could this be a sign that I need brake shoes or bearings?  I
have a '98 Honda Shadow VLX 600 CD

Rough running '85 Honda VT700C18 Sep 2007 15:58 GMT13
I would appreciate any advice on this.
I have an '85 VT700C with about 32K miles.  When I got the bike about 4 years
ago there were acceleration and top end deficiency issues.  Otherwise the
bike ran fine.  I had not previously done much work with motorcycles, so I
Chinese Motorcycles17 Sep 2007 16:51 GMT4
I have looked on line at Chinese made motorcycles.  The price is certainly
right for some of these.
My question is, what experiences have  people had who have bought Chinese
motorcycles?
