1974 CR250M fork emulators?29 Sep 2008 03:02 GMT1
Does anyone know if a 1974 Honda CR250M came from the factory with fork
emulators? I am in the process of changing the seals on my Vintage MX
bike and noticed something "new to me" in the forks. A web search found
they are emulators. My intentions were to braze one or two of the ...

I have a 1987 GL1200 Aspencade that has four carbs in dire need of cleaning.
What's the best cleaner to use?  If I remove and soak?

I've shopped around, sat on several motorcycles, studied specs, talked
with others, read reviews and have finally decided to go with the
Yamaha TW200, mainly because it fits me the best and the 196cc SOHC 4-
stroke single provides all of the power I need.

I just bought this bike and It idles (badly) but wont run.  If I try
to give it throttle it dies immediately and will only idle for a short
time before dying out.  I assumed the carbs were shot so I tried to
bypass them for diagnostic purposes by sprating carb cleaner in the

Query about compressing the forks07 Sep 2008 11:43 GMT5
I've read that compressing the front forks mechanically can damage them,
but I'm not sure why.
I plan to use a pair of ratcheting load straps on my Ultra Classic's
forks to lower it between 1 and 2 inches while loading it into a van.
Using a camper van for winter storage05 Sep 2008 14:22 GMT13
Last winter my Harley Ultra Classic spent too much time outside
under a bike cover and got some rust (mostly on the pipes).
Here in Vancouver, Canada we have rainy winters with occasional
wet slushy snow, like Seattle.

1971 Honda 35003 Sep 2008 07:54 GMT3
I have a 1971 Honda 350.  It had a bad tank and I had it resealed on
the inside.  All of the sealer ran off the walls of the tank and is
now plugging the hose lines.  I need to know if there is a chemical
that will eat away the sealer but not harm the inside of the tank.  If

My current problem is that my carbs are getting a build up of white

the number 4 carb's main jet was totally clogged with the stuff. Right
