How Stable is STA-BIL??30 Nov 2008 22:34 GMT5
I got this container of STA-BIL, maybe 6 years old, in a 4 oz can like the
old lighter fluid cans (with a squirt spout). Sez 4 oz treats 5 gal's of
gas. Maybe 2 oz left. Can looks fine, no rust or anything.
My old CBR has about 4.25 gals of gas in the tank. Winter storage is
winter storage27 Nov 2008 15:51 GMT8
During a discussion about winter storage a week or two back, I mentioned
that I change oil before storing the bike and again when I bring it out of
storage.
Several seemed to think that was a waste of time and asked why on earth I

I've got a 84 Gold Wing with those damned self cancelling turn signals that
never work right. Does anyone know of a way to disable this feature so they
just stay on till I turn them off.  Thanks Runk.........

Another Storage Question07 Nov 2008 22:19 GMT11
I'm going to be unable to ride for three or so months.
I planned on using fuel stabilizer, keeping the tank full, and running the
bike (stationary) every week or so to keep things moving.
I was going to keep it in the garage, since I'll be unable to mess around
Dangling Alternator Question07 Nov 2008 22:14 GMT25
So I'm having problems with my voltage rectifier.  In the meantime I'm
leaving it unconnected, and charging my battery at night.  My question
is this: because the voltage rectifier is unconnected, the alternator
is now dangling (not outputting into anything).  Is this harmful to
A Question about the HONDA CB-35007 Nov 2008 21:56 GMT6
Hello, I looking into purchasing another Honda CB350 motorcycle bike.
I use to own a CB350 a long  time ago and right after I purchase the
bike it started to develop electrical system problems with the battery
and/or the voltage regulator.  Is there a real simple way to fully
Consensus on winter storage?06 Nov 2008 19:52 GMT7
Particularly for older bikes, everyone agrees it's best to drain
the floats? If not practical, at least add stabilizer (Stabil or
such)?
What about the gas tank? Full? Empty? Doesn't necessarily matter?

resin casting03 Nov 2008 14:50 GMT13
Anybody ever done any work with plastic resin casting ?
I'm looking to replace a destroyed 3-pole male JPT connector
which is apparantly always a one-off run for individual mfrs and
never available as a standard part.
