Old Hondas and the rain29 Apr 2005 06:21 GMT12

Ker-chunka-chunka-chunk and it's a 562cc triple. Above five grand
suddenly the fourth pot chimes in and the back end twitches.
Get it wetter and it's a 187cc twin. Then a triple. And suddenly a four

Blimey was that packed. The tailback started shortly after the motorway
exit and went up all the way to the showground. Man was I glad that I
was on a bike and not in the cage.
The whole thing started very much on the annoying side - I've been

Well, my Ebay purchase is looking up!
Got everything working this morning and took her for MOT - passed with
flying colours! Mechanic passed verdict that she looked a good'un
mechanically and with a bit of TLC she'd be a peach.

Picked up the repainted CB450 bodywork from the sprayer this evening.
It looks absolutely, utterly, utterly gorgeous. I didn't go for the
original "blue with gold stripe" but for the (also original but
somewhat less common) "dark green with gold stripe" instead.

Yes, I paid a lot, but I think it's worth it.

One of my all-time unfavourite tasks. But the CB750 now has them.

One of my colleagues today announced that he has a Triumph Tiger Cub from
the early 60's that he would like shot of.  Seems he bought it a number of
years ago with a view to restoring it and, well, you can guess the rest.
Condition is described as a complete basket case.  There is ...

I assume this is the one:-
Doris Lowe. South Midland ACU20 Apr 2005 17:43 GMT8
Does anyone remember Doris Lowe who was on the committee and a life member
of South Midland ACU in the 1970s and 80s? She used to live in Mobray Road,
Edgware but is no longer listed in the telephone book. I would suspect she
is no longer with us. The reason I ask is that her ...
