CB250RS for restoration anyone?30 Apr 2006 14:56 GMT10
I need to clear some space in the sheds at home and have to reluctantly
sell my project bike.  I was going to make a sprinter of it, but other
projects and buying a new bike has deep-sixed it.
Bike is a CB250RSA, mostly there will I think it need a lot of work but
Bl**dy 'L - this seems very cheap for an RE-5?30 Apr 2006 00:08 GMT132

If I had the time to arrange shipment - and space to store...

Compression tester29 Apr 2006 19:02 GMT2
I need to test the compression on the FJ1200
2 questions.
1. Looking at testers, the commonest seem to list 14mm &
18mm plug adapters - am I right in thinking the FJ1200
Motorcycle Manuals Available This Week26 Apr 2006 16:24 GMT5
Hello fellow bike enthusiasts,
Just want to let you all know that I have listed a couple of hundred
motorcycle service manuals on www.ebay.com this week (the auctions end
Thursday the 27th of April at about 4:30pm EST) under the seller name
Dissolving Paint Part224 Apr 2006 09:40 GMT13
A while a go I wibbled on about a petrol tank I resprayed and got looking
quite tidy using Halfrauds aerosol paint.
As I mentioned I sloshed unleaded all over it after I filled the tank up and
left the bike on it's side stand as the filler cap seal was shagged. The
XS650 engine21 Apr 2006 20:32 GMT15
Well I finally got the XS engine out of the frame. My god it's heavy, the
B&D workmate is straining to support the lump. Everything came apart easily.
The two borked cam bearings fell to pieces but one inner race was cold
welded on, it Dremell'd off though :o)
Fitting an oil pressure gauge to a Bandit 60021 Apr 2006 18:45 GMT13
Due to the damaged oil pressure switch mounting[1] on the crankcase of
my Bandit, I am looking at fitting an oil pressure gauge rather than
relying on the dash light and plugging the old switch hole with a
Loctited in blanking bolt. There is a point on the lower crankcase where
Ping WUN21 Apr 2006 14:52 GMT7
The RD stuff *is* all ordered BTW. I'm assured it won't take
long....unless I've asked for something they don't have. Only thing I
don't have is the Newtronics stuff and it isn't essential.
Be sensible to choose a long weekend when Lozzo is in the vicinity.
Trident rear brake - the sequel19 Apr 2006 14:37 GMT9
Last week I posted about my Trident 900's rear brake binding and getting a
bit cooked.   I took the caliper off and a motor mechanic friend is giving
it an overhaul for me. I also decided to buy a new disc because it looks
rather knackered anyway - 116 quid from Motorcycle Road and ...

And can't find the keys for my Honda VF1000 F-II Bol d'Or which is a PITA
as:
a. it's hogging the middle of the garage
b. I'd really like to get it MOT'd this weekend...

Ashford Classic Bike Show17 Apr 2006 22:45 GMT1
Well, an enjoyable waste of two hours it was.
It pretty much suffered the same problem as the one in Ardingly in as
much as the show bikes were crammed into a couple of fairly dark rooms
and thus, hardly any photo opportunities.

If it goes much over £2k then no but otherwise it's got to be worth a
punt and an HID headlight with an attempt to raise the top gear ratio.
Numpty in 'Wife to the Rescue' Shocker!16 Apr 2006 20:01 GMT3
Well, we're having a spring clean and Anne, my wife, comes wandering out to
the garden to ask how much I love her...
This usually means she's just scored some Brownie Points...
Well - in this case she did!!!!
