Guzzi spares sources30 Jun 2007 15:22 GMT9
I seem to have acquired a cosmetically challenged T4 and am immediately in
need of a centre stand that will actually raise the rear wheel off the
ground and a sidestand that isnt snapped.
I am sure that a longer and more expensive list will be along shortly so

Unfortunately I threw away your reminder email without opening it, but I
finally manage to measure the width of the engine.
Approx 45cm at the widest point of the crankcase.

This is one of the bolts holding down the vale cover (which contains the
valve gear) on Timo's 400 Four

Importing guidelines/FAQ   - a few updates for Timo24 Jun 2007 09:02 GMT31
Just having imported a(nother) Z1R from holland a few updates to your
excellent importing guide.
Mostly as you described but the folks at the DVLA also need a customs
for filling in. Some of it is a bit woolly and i wasn't sure which box

Changed the fuel filters and all seemed rosy in the garage as the
Triumph sat there idling nicely.  Ran it up and down the road a few
times and then left it idling while I cleared the tools away and all
of a sudden back to back foring and cutting out.  Starts more easily

That must be a new record, even by ukrmc standards18 Jun 2007 06:11 GMT7
As TOG posted, he's won a CB400/4 on fleabay that wasn't too far from
the Schloss, so I bimbled over to point and laugh, sorry, to give TOG a
hand. Oh, and to claim first dibs on a few parts that may come in handy
*just* in case he decided to break it after all.
I hope this is as good a bargain as it seems....17 Jun 2007 21:21 GMT19

The seat's been re-covered and the front guard is iffy, but the rest
of it looks amazingly presentable.

RD250 DX paint colours, restoration guide - ping Lozzo?17 Jun 2007 16:34 GMT4
I've recently acquired a '79 RD250 and am looking to restore it. Does
anyone kow what paint options were available on that bike please?
I'd really like to do it in Kenny Roberts yellow, but the only ones can
find so far seem to be either blue or silver. Was the yellow colour
Cleaning the Benly17 Jun 2007 08:28 GMT11
I'm posting in classic, do I have to don a beard?
Commuting in mud has resulted in a filthy bike. It sitting in the
garage has resulted in rusty looking chrome.
How do I get it clean?

The Triumph is running like a bag of bolts today, just. When it's not
cutting out and backfiring, that is.  Bloody useless old British cack.
Gah.
CB750 Front fork bushes.12 Jun 2007 05:26 GMT17
Any idea where I can get a set of Front fork bushes for my
1971 CB750 Honda. I know I might be struggling because David Silver spares
say they have not got any, and they are discontinued.
I can get the oil seals, but could do with a set of bushes.
You know when you put things back together06 Jun 2007 23:24 GMT5
And there are always some bits left over?
Well, upon moving a box, upon which had been sitting the FJ12's airbox
while it was dismantled, I came across a large steel heat-shield thingy
which *should* sit between the carbs and the engine.
