I'm Kate, one of the admin staff at Classic Motor Monthly, Britain's best
publication for events and small ads (well we think it is!). I hope you don't
mind me butting in but we have a great offer for all enthusiasts throughout
August. A free ad is on offer to everybody - we'd ...

On the bike advertised in this months UBG classifieds:

£2200; no offers. Tel.           (Herts)"
What am I missing here?26 Jul 2007 21:46 GMT10
Item 220130148250 - OK, so it's probably a genuine Montjuic and it's got
plenty of history but it's a resto jobbie and (reading carefully) it's
not even a runner.
Yet someone's paying 2 grand for *that*?
FX: Makes clucking noises re Chimay24 Jul 2007 11:55 GMT8
FFS. Thanks to riding some 'sportier' bikes I've managed to mess myself
up rather well so I doubt I'll be able to ride the 400/4 to Chimay, even
if I found the key.
The K *should* be fixed today (hopefully) so I may still go if I feel I
*gloom* Chimay Weather Thread22 Jul 2007 19:09 GMT14
Well coming from Brum is bad, as the current forecast is for it to start
raining in the morning, spreading South to Dover and following us to
Belgium, and then following us back on Sunday.
Hopefully they're wrong.

unable to ride anymore. Any idea what she's worth??
Raleigh Runabout MOT requirements?18 Jul 2007 10:16 GMT10
I'm new to this group and in fact new to two wheeled transportation! I
have just acquired a 1966 Raleigh Runabout moped and am due to sit my
CBT in a couple of weeks to validate the moped entitlement on my car
license. The moped is pretty much all there, but needs quite a bit of

Had another go at the 400 Four today as I'm planning to ride the bike to
Chimay next weekend. Found that the carb that was causing problems on
the idle had a blocked pilot jet, which I cleaned. Hooray, that should
sort out the idle.

AJS Parts required17 Jul 2007 09:24 GMT6
Hello, can anyone help with any surplus cylinder head bits for a SOBB?
Mainly hairpin valve springs, caps and collets for a late forties AJS model
18, that's a 500cc single along with rocker gear, oil feed pipe to same and
regulator screw and locknut.  I've been looking for these ...
