Whats it worth ?29 Dec 2008 22:26 GMT19
This looks tempting but I have no idea what it might be worth or
what the problems might be.

Ultrasonic carb cleaning28 Dec 2008 17:45 GMT35
From a small bike shop down the road: a tenner for the CB125RS's carb.
If it works, bloody bargain. I'll find out tomorrow.

CB72 progress26 Dec 2008 21:08 GMT9
Not much progress since a month ago really - rear mudguard is in, centre
stand on, and much polishing of hubs and top yoke.
I've decided to rechrome the exhausts, so I've spent some time grinding
down the bodge welds somebody had done - they won't be perfect but I

Checked the timing (as best I could - those 125s are a bugger for trying
to get a static light on[1], and I couldn' shift the screw-in plate on
the generator cover[2], to access the crankshaft nut for turning the
engine. So had to stick it in gear and turn it by hand.
Further to my earlier wishlist...26 Dec 2008 15:36 GMT9

It's probably a good thing I'm not exactly rich at the moment, as I suspect
the arrival of that would culminate with me being told to live in it.
XT600E electrics26 Dec 2008 15:36 GMT34
XT600E 1995, so sort of classic :-)
Leaving work to come home last night in the dark and pissing rain, it got
100 yards up the road and stopped - engine and lights failed at the same
time.  Got back to it this morning, changed the main fuse, and it started

That'll be why it's blowing bulbs, then. Bugger.
There's a sort of plastic box, a bit like an elongated matchbox, with
three wires coming out of it, under the tank on the right, and it's
cracked, badly. The that must be the rectifier. The regulator, finned,

But when you see an NOS item like this come up for sale (thank you,
eBay searches), you grab them.
Sounds extortionate? Well, I've sold used pairs of these reflectors

Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special24 Dec 2008 20:00 GMT23
Just got back from kempton Park, where there was one for sale. Canadian
import, utterly mint and original, only 12k miles: the best I have ever,
ever seen (and I've only ever seen one other, actually).
£1950. God, I was tempted. I phoned Lozzo, who went into spasm and told
T120 questions24 Dec 2008 07:42 GMT6
I´ve just bought a 68´ T120. It´s imported from Sweden to Denmark. I don´t
know much about english classics, so I have a few questiones. The way the
framenumber is made and situated on the frame looks a little bits suspicius
(I think). The framenumber is stamped on a piece of ...
Anybody want/need a few manuals?22 Dec 2008 20:51 GMT6
I'm having a little clearout (too much shite cluttering up my office)
and I've got the following Hayes BOLs that I doubt I'll need anytime
soon:

Just got todays issue of "la vie de la Moto" and I need to win the Lottery
immediately.
There is a 1961 Matchless G50 at EURO 27,000 and a tidy looking 1963 RE

400 4 clutch question22 Dec 2008 18:57 GMT8
I'm having a little go at this today.
The clymer insist that there is a circlip involved but on taking the
little plate covering the 4 little springs off I see a round nut with 4
notches that has been removed with a chisel before.
This is probably the nastiest 400 Four I have ever seen21 Dec 2008 13:13 GMT15
