So thats why they sold it on ebay26 Apr 2009 14:18 GMT3
Took the cb250rs out for a ride last week and in the middle of Taunton
it would not get out of first gear. Got off and put it on the stand,
that looks wierd. The hunk of aluminium that holds the stand and
foot peg has moved, it also holds the gear lever.
Commando Clutch22 Apr 2009 18:35 GMT18
This is... odd.
The Commando has been fitted with aftermarket (apparently superior)
clutch plates. The guru at Norvil reckons there should be four fibre and
four steel plates.
four hundred four forks21 Apr 2009 17:20 GMT30
The new forks are as lovely inside as they outside.
I dismantled the old ones today (with the aid of a broom handle at one
point) and discovered a possible explanation for the strange weaviness.
The leaky fork had nice new fork oil  (understandably I guess), while
Arse19 Apr 2009 22:05 GMT7
The Notrun (850 Commando) has wet-sumped *again*.
Ho-hum, time to get the spanners out.
Anyone know what the likeliest cause is? I'm assuming there are one or
more non-return valves and one of them is f.cked.
Blimey. Didn't expect to win that for so little money19 Apr 2009 13:54 GMT34

My mates 1989 gpx600 has been off the road for 2 years,
I charged the battery and it started no bother. It will only run on the
choke, give it any throttle and it cuts out even
at normal temperature. checked it for air leaks etc all seems ok could it be

Single or twin disks?11 Apr 2009 10:39 GMT2
My R80 RT monolever has a single front disk. It never has stopped on a
sixpence exactly, and I've always wondered about a twin disks, pretty
much a bolt-on conversion for these.
I've just seen the bits on fleabay, so thought I might ask what the team

Aircooled Boxer-isti09 Apr 2009 12:53 GMT13
I got to thinking that the exhaust clamps on the R80RS have probably never
been moved since being clamped up at the factory, and I thought of popping
them off and copaslipping them etc. Now (thanks to Fr Jack & I think Platy)
I have  a finned spanner clamp doofrey but they don't ...
Footboards06 Apr 2009 19:16 GMT4
My neighbour has snazzy forward-mounted footboards on his big Harley,
and it seems to me that something like them are what I need for the 250
RS - not for snazz, but because of my reduction of kneebend, I can't sit
on the dual-seat sensibly, otherwise.
Mutlibike/Multirider Classic Policy02 Apr 2009 21:46 GMT23
One B25 is on the road, one will be on the road very shortly and the
Vogue should be on the road later this year. I don't think any of these
will do a 1000 miles a year.
SWMBO and I would like to go riding on these on separate bikes but I'm
The end is nigh.02 Apr 2009 21:15 GMT52
Wotcha.
Ah well, time to take the B33 for MOT.
Back later.
Help a stranded Platypus01 Apr 2009 08:52 GMT22
Platypus is stuck with a broken vehicle, and doesn't have access to
the phone number for Carol Nash's breakdown service.  Can someone
please post it here (or text it to me if they have my number) ASAP,
please.
