| f.ck but that's loud | 30 Jun 2007 22:18 GMT | 10 |
Got home from work and fitted the new (to me) Akrapovic system and it's a bit f.cking loud. It's also blowing from one of the headers which is a pita because I'll have to slacken everything off and put some sealant on them in the morning unless it sorts itself out after a

| How to feel fast without being fast. | 30 Jun 2007 21:53 GMT | 2 |
First of all, don't ride a motorcyle for ages. Then go out wearing f.ck all, but most importantly without earplugs. Weeep, weeep, weeep up through the cogs, must be doing at least 120mph. Look down and it's 80.

| FOAK: Stolen Number Plates | 30 Jun 2007 21:37 GMT | 24 |
If you had a pair of plates stolen off your car, would it be recommended to apply to the DVLA for a new number? [1] Or would you just inform the police and reply to any future NIPs with the crime reference number?

| Company bikes, a little summary | 30 Jun 2007 19:38 GMT | 6 |
No, I hadn't talked to Wik about this despite Adie giving me some contact details. Instead I emailed my accountant, who came up with a spreadsheet and some advice. Basically, it seems to be more advantageous to have a company bike if

| Lake District - Bike weekend? | 30 Jun 2007 13:14 GMT | 13 |
The location for my bi-annual bike weekend (which yet again falls on the same weekend as the OSM) is being proposed as the Lake District as opposed to Mid/SouthWales. Is this a bad idea?

That's what you'll need if you're thinking of going to the motogp this weekend. Looks like there's plenty of standing water there.

| Sodding gasket! | 30 Jun 2007 12:27 GMT | 23 |
Doing the clutch on the Pan, and I am *really* struggling with the gasket on the clutch cover. I've got it off the crankcase, but the residue on the cover is a *bastard*. It's rock hard, and stuck like the proverbial to a blanket.

| Feckin' chains | 30 Jun 2007 11:53 GMT | 5 |
Many years ago I had the misfortune to have a fairly new chain snap at <eek> mph on a GSXR1100K. In part this has directed me to shaft drive. A couple of years back I got the F650 and at a later stage replaced the chain for a nice new DID O ring

| We have a new baby... | 30 Jun 2007 11:41 GMT | 7 |
...Apple Snail. My son has a fish tank with 3 goldfish and three applesnails. Obviously we're doing something right because there is a baby snail in the tank and a couple more clutches of eggs on the lid.

| Party Reminder | 29 Jun 2007 23:22 GMT | 9 |
In case you missed it, there's a party a Chez Veg on the 21st July. Oodles of camping space, a fair amount of floor space and quite a few B&Bs within a few minutes taxi ride. Also, this year there's going to be a dance area outside so I need all

| Who's the U-boat captain [1] | 29 Jun 2007 21:01 GMT | 173 |
Up bright an early to sort out an important design issue at work, so was on the road at 6:30am-ish 2 miles from my house there's a car stopped in the middle of the road. I drive round him to see why, and note that the road is flooded. But,
