Any tricks for getting off stubborn exhausts? One of the oval shaped
things which are tightened up to keep the pipe in the cylinder head is
refusing to come off. Worth heating the thing up first or is this
unlikely to help?

Any ideas befor I incur garage costs?
I've been getting the bike ready for the MOT and knew the back brake needed
cleaning as it was sticking a little.

Replaced rocker, pin and adjuster etc on the Guzzi's L/H exh valve and it
still starts banging away after a mile.  I have adjusted it correctly.
It doesn't seem to get worse it justs goes straight to uncomfortably
noisy so what say the experts - worn cam lobe?
