What's my bike worth?20 Jul 2007 22:34 GMT4
Just getting it out and stuff has lead me to wonder how much my
Mercian would be worth (in the UK, obviously, not here). I've no idea
if it's more or less valuable than a new, similar spec bike, but
thought I'd throw the question open to the experts here.

Great Offley Bike Show Shocker ...20 Jul 2007 17:37 GMT17
Not as crap as some suggested it might be.  There were some quite
interesting show bikes, though too many tricked-up Harleys.  It was good
seeing a couple of Vincent HRDs and a few other nicely done old Brit bikes.
There were loads of more modern bikes in vaying degrees of ...

And the rain hammers down.....20 Jul 2007 16:42 GMT8
As I sit, hoping for a break in the clouds. It's 0955, the boat leaves
in three hours, there's a thunderstorm overhead, and my chosen steed had
a reputation for conking out in heavy rain when it was new, let alone 30
years later.

Paging the mechanic types (or *Why* have you done it like *that*!)20 Jul 2007 10:47 GMT7
As the new clutch lever came today, I've had a bit of a play with the
bike, and had a go at fitting stuff. Now, the clutch lever was easy - I
should've stopped there. The side panel I was going to fit is a
different matter.

More SOBs in the stable.20 Jul 2007 09:40 GMT17
*Big* thanks to Simian. I collected his old GSX1100 today. Hope you enjoy
the 'Rucking Mole'. Don't drink it all at once now.... :>)
Also many thanks to Steve Loukes for the XJ900. I even managed to ride it
out of the back of the Caravelle just now so it can't really be an SOB.

Sat Nav (again, sorry)19 Jul 2007 23:34 GMT34
I have a friend who thinks he may need sat nav...
It's for the car. It has to re-calculate routes when you ignore it and
take a wrong turning. It has to speak. Ability to use post codes would
be great. It should be possible to have multiple destinations set so
Oh, botheration.19 Jul 2007 23:19 GMT25
All air pressure gone in the rear shocks on the Wing.
Compressor works and raises the pressure to around 0.5 atmos, which
then slowly pfffts to zero.
I hope it's only a loose air connection thing.
