Assen MotoGP in UKRM-Nova problem09 Jul 2007 08:00 GMT4
As I had a dumb blond moment and only did half a job telling my
recorder about the BBC2 coverage, I missed the race.  No problem, that
nice Mr Statto comes up with the race on UKRM-Nova so I get to see it
after all.  Except ...
European Block Exemption law - used car warranties09 Jul 2007 05:21 GMT2
Does this "Block Exemption" law apply to used car warranties?
From what I can see it applies to new cars and manufacturer guaranties,
but I can't find anything anywhere about used car warranties?
The dealer Ross bought his Focus from has said his warranty T&Cs say he
Older Pan European09 Jul 2007 03:41 GMT12
I'm giving thought to an older 1100 Pan, any nasty bits to watch for?
I'm not interested in a 1300 due to cost & obvious reasons that may or
may not affect me.
Q for the cage satnavisti09 Jul 2007 03:13 GMT25
My Tomtom GO700 has now failed for the third time in a year. I started it
tonight to enter the last couple of waypoints for my holiday and it has lost
all its maps. I leave for France in less than 48 hrs.  I've emailed their
customer support and I will be phoning them ...
XL 50008 Jul 2007 23:46 GMT9
My brother picked up a fairly shabby XL500 last year and, after a
winter's hibernation in his shed, this is the result.

Lend us a bike, mister08 Jul 2007 23:17 GMT51

Plusnet has a sweary filter on outgoing posts.
The office network has taken the day off so I came home to do something
productive instead. Parked up the bike and popped in to get the garage
FOAK: Looks like it could be new phone time08 Jul 2007 22:45 GMT6
Right. I left my Sony K750i in the van today, with the window open. And
today it's pissed it down, resulting in what looks like a dead phone,
although I'm drying it out. Anyway, does anyone know of a phone that's
a) as capable as a K750i, with a 2MP camera (although I may be willign ...
Got myself a nice ZZR110008 Jul 2007 21:38 GMT1
I felt the call, had one before & it was a cracking bike. I spent the
whole of £1500 on one.
I can almost feel the wind in my helmet :)
FOAK: Network Connections & Teh Interweb08 Jul 2007 14:20 GMT6
I seem to have lost the ability to connect to the net on the kids PC.
The main PC is fine as is my wireless laptop connection but the one in
the Den, despite showing all the signs of a healthy network connection
refuses to allow a browser to see the web.
Swapsies08 Jul 2007 12:34 GMT12
So the Norton has departed with WUN and Pip - good to meet you guys!
And the Z1000 has occupied the space in the garage.
Sweet.
Warning for anyone intending to use roads in Essex over the next few weeks08 Jul 2007 11:15 GMT4
There is currently a campaign on Essex roads - more mobile speed
cameras, bridge speed snipers etc than usual (and usual is quite a
lot).  Likely targets are the A12, A127, A13, A130 and the Essex
parts of the M11 and M25. The campaign is being advertised using some
Welding req.08 Jul 2007 09:43 GMT2
Anybody not a million miles from Solihull can weld a couple of brackets
onto a bike frame for me?  Turns out the RD350 replacement frame I have
is for a slightly different faired model, so I have to add some
brackets.  Simple job of just welding them on - as I'll just be cutting
Douglas Coupland; Jpod.  What was people's opinion?08 Jul 2007 08:56 GMT9
So, I'm clearly at least a year behind the time with this one.
But...
I found it superficially amusing but ultimately irritating.
Coupland's arrogance, casting himself as a character in his book (an
<proud>08 Jul 2007 08:44 GMT6
Well I've just had a days fun doing some painting.
Some of you may remember there was an RD250 eith "spannering required"
mentioned on here while back.
I ended up getting it and I spent most of today applying paint and
