Underground railway request01 Oct 2007 00:55 GMT15
I've won an ebay auction for a tank, sidepanels and tailpiece for a
750 turbo.
The bits are in Chester (or its environs).  Is there anyone who could
assist in URing them to Gloucestershire or Warwickshire?
Sidecar antics, one week on (laying on of spanners and other tools; long)01 Oct 2007 00:01 GMT10

it a bit of a service.
First, oil change.  No nasties, oil not in bad shape and filter not so
dirty.

the Dragon", 318 bends in 11 miles.
It was fun, I grinned... a lot.
Rumour has it the round trip record is 22 mins.

Early August - win a couple of perfect condition OE silencers for the
Ducati, on Ebay, for £65.
New ones are something silly like £200 each.
Zymurgy kindly URs them from Born Iron, where the seller resides.

OK, so I thought I'd fit the new (used) Ducati cans I bought for the SS.
The can is a push fit into the headers, and is secured by the usual
bracket at the pillion peg end. How hard can it be?
Answer: fecking hard.
Yellow bikes attract flies?30 Sep 2007 19:22 GMT10

used to get loads of flies round it after i washed it, never noticed on
any other bike.

I've decide the pink Tiger's definitely going, but haven't decided what
to replace it with yet. It's used for:
1. 170 mile round trip commute (but only once a month, give or take).
2. Blatting to warmer climes, 2 up with packed out topbox, panniers &
Bikes you should have bought30 Sep 2007 12:49 GMT49
I've never felt that strongly about bikes I've owned and sold, but TOG's
post got me thinking about the bikes I should have bought:
When I read, in the December '75 issue of Bike, of the Moto Guzzi 750 S3, I
should have followed my original impulse and sold both parents into ...

FOAK: selling tat30 Sep 2007 10:32 GMT104
Say you have a fairly tatty ZX-7R (for example), with a scrape race
fairing, dent in the tank, only one mirror, busted speedo cable. It's
largely road legal (needs a very friendly MOT station or a legal end-
can), but isn't taxed or MOTed or anything like that. It works, and
