Rant no 4[1]. Spare parts for Velorex sidecar31 Oct 2007 21:01 GMT13
So... it's failed the MOT on something around the rear shock.  I need to
remove the shock, cut 2" of 'extension' out of the top mount for the
shock and then put the correct length shock in.
Only one problem...  I can't find anywhere in the UK that sells Velorex
Television Guilty Secrets31 Oct 2007 16:39 GMT132
What television programmes do you watch that perhaps you shouldn't
because they're really naff, for kids, plain daft etc?
My nominations are
Antiques Roadshow - I love this programme but somehow it feels a bit too
Unobservant twat31 Oct 2007 12:34 GMT6
Me.  For undertaking an unmarked Police Volvo on the M5[1].
Reported for "riding like a twat" aka driving without due care and
attention.
Upside, the copper said he'd recommend a driver re-education course
Nigella f.cking Lawson31 Oct 2007 10:20 GMT171
I do believe I genuinely hate the woman and her smirking, grinning smugness.
If she can cook then my cock's a bloater.
Problem is, I have to watch the bastard programme every week just to confirm
to myself that she really is that awful. WTF does that mean?? And no, I
Paging Champ (and anyone with a running auction)31 Oct 2007 10:15 GMT6
Check your finish time on your auction.
It seems that a 10 day auction is actually a 240 hour auction, with no
adjustment for daylight savings changes. Hence a running auction that,
until last weekend, was due to finish at 8.30pm, will now finish at

Top Gear and the Peel car31 Oct 2007 00:42 GMT21
Helen was drooling at it, and then came over all superior, because the
Peel doesn't have reverse gear, and the Ape does.....

Gearing Question31 Oct 2007 00:37 GMT6
I was reading through the December issue of Bike earlier - the fuel
challenge section. It's not in front of me now but IIRC one of the testers
said that the bike was doing 24 mph in top at 1500 rpm but 60 mph at 3000
rpm.

FOAK: Bristol airport to Chippenham/Calne30 Oct 2007 20:14 GMT14
Anyone know the cheapest (and fairly quick) way to get from Brizzle
airport to the Chippenham/Calne area?
Ma's looking at buying a new motor and weighing up the cost to send me
to collect it v. the large delivery charge.
Long Way Down - Tonight30 Oct 2007 16:04 GMT50
Another reminder, Long Way Down is on at 9pm tonight on BBC2.
I've nabbed the 9m30s 'promo trailer' from the Long Way Down member
area and thrown it at Google Video for those who have 10 minutes of
their life to waste

Nope, can't see an apex here
FOAK: Parking ticket30 Oct 2007 11:15 GMT21
My bird's gotten a parking ticket for parking outside our house. The thing
is, a permit scheme's been set up, and they've not managed to send her a
permit yet (mildly understandable given there's been a postal strike), so
she was parking with a note on the dash saying a permit ...
