Was it just me, or were there NO reviews whatsoever this week? Dear oh dear. They usually manage at least one! Last week's USA special was good, though. --

| Where in Ireland to go? | 20 Nov 2008 13:41 GMT | 36 |
The mister and I are thinking of visiting Ireland next summer. We found an motorcycle rental outside of Dublin in Naas that rents almost any cycle for 110-190 Euros. We were thinking of a week or so tour around the island riding two-up.

| Paging SOC bodgers - particularly Krusty. | 20 Nov 2008 13:26 GMT | 200 |
After a spirited canter the other day the MX5 has developed an annoying rattle from the nether regions. The exhaust has a fairly pleasing rasp, but the comedy death rattle as you kill the engine or over bumps is getting on my tits.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7738919.stm So, 90mph+ on the motorway is now considered "anti-social". So I guess doing 55mph[1] in the outside lane in a Trabant is considered "social" then.

Bloody marvellous - I like his style anyway, but this new series weaves the history of promisary notes and banking in with the current credit crisis to make a fascinating hours viewing. Tonight's episode is repeated on on Wednesday on More4, it seems.

| Is this you? | 20 Nov 2008 11:21 GMT | 5 |
Do you wear what looks like a paramedic hi-viz vest while riding a scabby old Pan with no panniers? Do you cross north over Tower Bridge in the morning? Do you have a slight tear in the left leg of your trousers? Yes? You do?

I wouldn't mind a few for the BMW as it's nearly black & a few well placed stripes etc might enhance my viewability by others. I'm not interested in looking like a copper & I'm not keen to advertise others products, but anyone know if there's a company that makes 'em?

This last week we have been pestered by mail-shots from Sky warning us of dire consequences if we don't stump up £10/month for extended warranty insurance on our now 12 month old Sky+ box.

Just had a call from the garage: the BM has broken a small but vital part, cost of replacement: £10.50+VAT. Time taken to replace part: "tomorrow". Bum.
