Could someone who owns one of these bikes, take a measurement for me? I'm
looking to measure from the top/front of the tank (near the steering head)
along the centre of the tank to the bolt that fastens the tank (under the
front of the seat).

Just bought my first Yamaha the last month, a brand new 2003 R1. Coming from
a Ducati it´s a little different to say the least. Can´t say I don´t miss
the 2 cyl engine....
Anyway, the speccs say 152 HP but what, approx.,  can I expect on the wheel?

Do any uk subscribers know were I can get a good quality full 2 -2 exhaust
system for my 1991 tdm? As I've just aquired it and want to get rid of the
obscenely loud single Remus can its got at the present time, and I need a
full system coz the previous owner welded the down pipes to ...

Hello... While riding home a few days ago, I hit a patch of rain that
had a few (very small) hail stones embeded in it.  ....I ended up
slowing to about 15 mph.  ...And even at that, I had to hold my right
hand above my face to shield it from the beating it took.  ...Good Lord,

I posted a while back that I'd ordered some leathers, jacket and chaps, from
JaminLeather, out of scraps instead of whole pieces.  The chaps were about
$30 and the Jacket $50.
Someone remarked that he expected the jacket wouldn't have the wind flap,

My lights dim somewhat when idling or signaling and then brighten up when I
increase rpm's. Would this be a bad regulator or a bad alternator? Thanks.

We build mostly metric and sporty choppers for the blue collar worker. NO
billit, no glitz, no glam.
Just hard riding , bar hopping old school; choppers.

Could someone verify that a bad regulator will cause the lights to dim when
idling or using signal lights, but they will brighten up when you increase
the rpms. Or would it be the alternator?
This is on a 650 Yamaha maxim.  1982 model. Thanks.

I need to ship a bike from mid-west to Boston area reasonably. Can anyone
provide guidance as to shipping companies, availability of crates, etc.
Should bike be crated or put on a pallet?

I have a 1982 Yamaha Virago 920.  I am parting it out.  It is a complete

Does anyone have any pictures of a Yamaha SRX-6?  I would love to get
one but I can't seem to find any.  Right now I will settle for some
