Yamaha sitting for a year or so now...30 Dec 2004 03:39 GMT1
I have a Yamaha TT-R 225 that has been sitting since a wreck which has been
about a year now, the wreck wasn't too bad but I need to know what I need to
do to get it running again, such as what all should I clean out, etc. I'm
not experienced but I think I can handle anything needed ...
Carbs ... Yamaha VISION28 Dec 2004 00:14 GMT9
Yeah, you read that right.  I have a good set of carbs and air box for an
'82 Vision.  The assembly has been in a Ziploc baggie buried in my garage
since 1988.   If you're interested in buying them, email me.
Thanks
Valve Adjustment24 Dec 2004 14:54 GMT22
According to my owner's manual, I should adjust the valves on my VSTAR at
8,000 miles.  I have a bit over that.
Just how necessary is this?  You don't have to do this on cars.
cheers

VXS 650 bore kit?21 Dec 2004 17:46 GMT1
Is anyone aware of a big bore kit available for an 04/05 XVS Vstar 650?
I've checked with the local after market places around here and they're
not too sure of anything here in Aus, but said that there might be a
bunch of guys in the states or somewhere doing them.

without getting down on your knees and trying to look through that little
window?

V-Star Front End Noise17 Dec 2004 00:37 GMT4
My V-Star 1100 has developed a weird noise out front. Like a creaking
noise, or a rattle or tick, tick. But more like creaking. Weird. It
makes the noise when I hit sharp bumps. If I hold the front brake and
rock the forks up and down, it makes that noise. If I run the front

anyone removed the tank Yamaha emblem from a 650 classic?
How is it attached....Glue....That would be my guess as theses bikes
are built with cost containment in mind
