What is the easiest way to remove grips off a vstar and put new ones on?

My Vstar 650 seemed not getting enough gas while cruising anywhere
within the range of 40 MPH and above. This happened after the dealer
replaced the intake box with Kuryakin Hypercharger along with HD
Hardchrome slip on pipes. I think the new intake came with a jet kit

I have virago 535 that hasn't much ridden since it was bought.
I struggled a lot with the carburation.But it begins to be better.
I rode 125 km and had no fuel more.
I went to a gas station and filled the fuel tank completely with only 9.8

Just bought a low mileage well maintained almost immacculate DX 535.
Terrific little bike.  Before anyone leaps down my throat I am returning to
biking in what I believe to be a sensible manner after a 25 year break -

I have a yamaha 1979 125dt. it is running a little to rich or i need to
adjust the float im not sure becuase when it runs it sounds too rich. then
when u take off the carb and u can sit there and dump gas out of the carb.

    I had 2 engine cut-outs for no reason known to me or the Majesty yp400t
system readings, in traffic today, at 27deg.C and I thought it might be due to
something concerning the following Yamy Majesty yp400ts specs:

with the 2006 Yamaha Roadliner S,
113cid, 1854cc air-cooled V-twin thunder.
I feel sorry for all the people that bought the silverado not knowing that
Yamaha was releasing this new bike.

I won't get the chance to sit on this bike until a few weeks so was
wondering if there are any tall riders around here that have this bike?
I really love its looks and everything I read about it, but am affraid
that it will be too small for me.

I was wondering if anyone makes a big bore kit for the 1100 virago

Looking for any R1 groups, sites to get info on my new R1.
