oil. Bike will start and idol but will when I try to increase the
throttle, the bike dies. Fuel flow seems good. Plugs were dry but black
when I pulled them. Cleaning plugs didnt change any thing. Im beginning ...

2004 Yamaha Blaster - Oil Pump Question29 May 2006 19:01 GMT2
My 2004 Blaster just siezed up. Assuming that it's just the piston that
siezed up, I need to know if there is a way of checking the oil injector
pump to see if that is what caused the the problem. I would hate to rebuild
the engine and then have it sieze up again, wasting a lot ...
Stalling, stalling, stalling29 May 2006 00:52 GMT7
Hey...I'm a new/inexperienced rider...
This afternoon, I decided to take my bike out for a ride and seem to
now have a stalling problem when the choke is disengaged.  It's been 2
weeks since I last rode, and at that time there was no problem with
carb chirp on old Yamaha XS-75027 May 2006 00:49 GMT3
The bike sat for many years, is up and running now. Still rough, but
coming along.
However- a loud chirp from one carb at idle and coast/overrun.
Sounds like the CV slide is jumping up and down, or the needle assembly
FS: GN250 Yamaha manual24 May 2006 10:42 GMT1
Have just sold my GN250 and had bought a Suzuki Service Manual from a
Suzuki dealer.
I never used it so its mint and they are very expensive to buy.

FZ1 isn't as exciting as my YZ24 May 2006 02:04 GMT6
This is my first road bike. I have been riding the dirt for a long time
and now with gas getting out of hand I have a reason to justify a road bike.
After reading about every different bike I thought the FZ1 would be the best
for me. I wanted Superbike performance, but ...
Skills Test on V-Star 110022 May 2006 17:29 GMT2
Last fall I sold my Virago 535 which I had for 5 years--needed the
money.  Like a goofball, I let my motorcycle endorsement lapse, because
I thought my biking days were over.  All spring I've been lamenting my
loss.  Now I'm seriously thinking about getting a V-Star Classic 1100.

87 Yamaha Fazer, Carbs/Fuel Pressure19 May 2006 03:08 GMT1
The old carbs were all gummed up so we replaced them with a rack from
E-bay.
Rack seems to be very clean and the engine runs smooth when it's not
flooded.

xvs1100 tappet settings13 May 2006 13:58 GMT3
I have just been adjusting the tappets (valve clearance) on my 2000 XVS1100
Dragstar at .10 for the inlet and .15 for the out, these are within the
tolerances set in the Yamaha workshop manual but it is still not good, does
anyone have a clearance setting that works?
