85 FJ1100 Fairings : Any Others Fit?30 Jul 2006 19:30 GMT1
Hello all.  I'm trying to restore an 85 FJ1100 and the front fairing is
SHOT!.  I'm trying to do the whole epoxy/bondo thing, but am having
mixed results. . .definitely not high on the cosmetically attractive
scale.
Tell me about the Venture29 Jul 2006 17:15 GMT28
I want an older (because I can't afford newer ;-) Yamaha Venture, or
similar, and I've found one locally.  Anyone who can tell me about this bike
would be very helpful.  I haven't gone to see it yet, and I need to know
what to ask and look for.

Greetings fellow riders,
I have purchased a Jardine oil filter relocation kit for my 2005
Vstar 1100 Silverado. Has anybody else installed one of these? If so,
was it difficult? Also, do I need any additional gaskets that would
Tell me about the Virago 50025 Jul 2006 16:28 GMT1
I just recently got an 83 Virago XV500K. It had sat a while, so I have a
friend who is a Motorcycle mechanic looking at it and he is rebuilding the
carbs, but other than that he said it is in good shape. Is this a good bike?
I used to have a 750 Virago, and I loved it. How dos ...

Hello Group,
I'm looking for a reliable and relatively cheap place to buy parts on
the net for my 1980 or 81 Yamaha TT500. A full list of parts would be nice

I bought my 2006 R6 at the beginning of May. I've babied this thing and
haven't wrecked or dropped it as of yet.
Somehow though I've gotten two cracks on my tail section of my back
near the rear seat. It seems my tail-light is popping out and has

Help with 1985 Yamaha Virago20 Jul 2006 15:32 GMT3
I have an 85 Yamaha Virago that has the following problem.  When first
starting out, it does not have much power and backfires a lot.  Once it
backfires very loudly, it runs great and no troubles.  Over the last
couple of days, it starts fine, but has no power and will no go over 20

I just traded a boat for a '76 Yamaha Thumper in almost excellent
condition.. Seems to smoke quite a bit when cold.  Is this a common
problem?? The previous owner said it really smokes after it's been
trailed somewhere.. I'm talkin 3 or 4 minutes mosquito control white
newbie - what is a good next bike17 Jul 2006 20:13 GMT1
Hi Folks. Just started at 47. I took the MSF course and bought a
Virago250. I just love it, but you know the scoop - already wondering
if I should buy a bigger bike say next year. Here is my question. I
drive to work (literally 10 miles round trip) and for fun. We're not
Starter issues again on a 1100 custom17 Jul 2006 03:29 GMT3
I have had my 02 1100 custom in the shop several times since I've bought it,
in 03.  They replaced the starter with the new improved one. Then my rear
end was smoked because things from the factory or dealer prep weren't done
correctly.  Now I have the 3 yr. yes warranty, and ...

Have just had a ride out first on my own and then with a pillion.

Need 1983 XS650 Heritage Special side cover (right)15 Jul 2006 21:19 GMT6
Does anyone out there know where my best chance to find this side cover
might be? It is the lower (small) plastic black one. They want $85 for
it but that's just ridiculous unless they're having to pull out the die
and remold it.
virago intake15 Jul 2006 19:22 GMT3
Any small virago owners out there? ( the bike, not the owner).
I have read all the sites I can find concerning Viragos but have never found
any mention of the size of the inlet to the air box.
It appears to me that the volume of air that can be pulled  through the
